VMTA Theory Syllabus

Refer to this syllabus when preparing for the VMTA State Theory exams which are held in February in Northern Virginia. We prepare for these tests year round. A perk in my studio is that we have an ice cream party for all students who score 90% or higher on the official test.

Theory Resources for Students

All students learn music theory in my studio. It is the language of music and necessary for a full understanding of music.

These can be purchased at Foxes Music Store in Falls Church, VA or at Amazon. I will provide recommendations for the level you should get.
